Mitsubishi AX-7J(C) 'Shinden II'

A fictional turboprop-driven attack aircraft set in an alternative era.

AX-7 is a medium-sized turboprop attack aircraft manufactured in Japan to fill the decks of their navy's latest ultra-high altitude airborne carrier, Kaga.

The main armament setup consists of an internally-mounted 3-barrel 20mm rotary cannon for CAS duties, with a total of 6 external pylons attached to the wings. Additionally, the belly gun pod could be removed to accommodate an extra drop tank, further enhancing its ferry range by ~15%.

The standard Type 03 turboprop engine delivers a total of 4,250 horsepower and a residual thrust of approximately 6.2kN, pushing the craft to the top speed of 820km/h at sea levels.
